Sometimes, the past is embarrassing.

Here is my untalented insomniac rendering of three halfway-talented insomniacs, the Matt Siebert Trio, who claim to play ‘intergalactic space jazz’ and whose appreciative audience I was part of Friday night. I have to say, most jazz trios I’ve seen fall more into the category of dropouts who meet up in lounges and mumble things like ‘Well, I took band in high school and Uncle Moishel left me his trumpet when he croaked,’ but these three weren’t too terrible.

Oh, and the reason Matt Siebert isn’t playing an instrument in my masterpiece is that I didn’t know what he was playing. What looks slightly like a piano but doesn’t sound like one, and instead sounds like someone hitting a steel wok with a wooden spoon?
