Till now I loathed latex gloves, which - besides making your hands smell unwashably of safe sex for hours - get revoltingly sticky inside, unlike their synthetic doppelgangers. However, I changed my mind about them today after discovering that a latex glove can make the difference between a redhot scalpel leaving you with a mild scaldmark as opposed to a hideous blister.

Wear your gloves, people!

It’s amazing I actually made it here considering the state I’ve spent the last month or so in, but make it I did, and here I am… in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. (Just typing it exhausts me. I’m going to go lie down.) Me danks to the many friends who provided the mental support I so badly needed to live long enough to start this internship, which looks like it may just be the greatest thing to ever happen to me.

Not better than seeing David Bowie from the eighth row in the Saddledome… but pretty great, nevertheless.
